Two Sales (short notice post) and a quick update

I am working on hard deadline to finish the revisions for THE FLOWER COURT (January 2027) by the end of March. When I get into this mode I honestly feel as if the world has distorted around me somehow, although I couldn’t explain how. Time and place cease to have meaning. On the other hand, we live in bizarre times as well, so that no doubt contributes to the sense of distortion.

Nevertheless, editors still want me to alert my fabulous readers to a couple of sales.

FIRST:

March 23 – March 29 the (Kindle) ebook of THE NAMELESS LAND is on sale for $2.99.

This deal originates as a Kindle sale but it is likely the price will be matched on Kobo and at B&N for the ebook. I believe this is USA only (alas).

SECOND:

Barnes and Noble is having a preorder sale, March 24th – Thursday, March 26th.

B&N Members get 25% off on pre-orders in print, eBook, and audio formats. Premium members get an additional 10% off on print pre-orders.

The promotion covers all titles with pub dates from March 31st – December 29th.

As it happens, the paperback editions of The Witch Roads and The Nameless Land are both available for preorder.

the coupon code for checkout is PREORDER25

The Witch Roads (June 2, 2026)

The Nameless Land (August 25, 2026)

NOTE: I live in Hawaii and while my home and neighborhood have been fine, some areas on the islands have been badly hit with wind damage and in particular with devastating flooding. You can donate via Hawaii Foodbank if you are so inclined.

Here is Finn checking out some wind damage last week.

As always, thank you. I could not do this without you.

THE NAMELESS LAND audiobook & new newsletter system

Hey, peeps! The audiobook for THE NAMELESS LAND, narrated by the fantastic Ella Lynch, is now available on all audio platforms and other places you can buy audio.

That’s the entirety of my news because I am also using this post to test Buttondown’s* supposed capacity to deliver an RSS feed from my blog to you all. So if you get this email and it is all garbled, my apologies. If it is clear, that’s great. If it doesn’t send at all, then I have more work to do.

In these days of AI slop and shrinking reach, I am remembering the importance of a dedicated blog that I control, and I’m wanting to make sure my newsletter information shows up on my blog where readers looking for information about my work are most likely to end up on first try. I’d rather not post to the newsletter and then to the blog separately (lazy; time constraints; etc) but we shall see.

My blog does take comments, and I’m more likely to read comments at my blog (imakeupworlds.com) than on the Buttondown archive which has an awkward comments interface that I find hard to use.

*Buttondown is the newsletter service I use.
